This is me…
I’m Tina Gale. I’ve spent 20 years plus as a coach and mentor. As an academic I fought my way through the menopause whilst trying to pretend it was not at all a problem for me. It was. This personal journey of self-discovery, alongside my professional experience has given me the skills and tools to ensure that other women do not have to struggle alone. I have an infectious passion to make mid-life the exciting time it should be – full of opportunities, to help women wholeheartedly grasp mid-life to celebrate their present and create the future they want.
It really is normal, you are not alone in the way you feel.
Midlife, the period of the lifespan between younger and older adulthood, has been described as a period of transition in women’s lives.
Researchers studying midlife have focused on women 40 to 65 years of age, who typically experience multiple social, psychological and biological challenges, among them the menopausal transition.
Researchers have reported a diverse array of stressful events, for example, health concerns, family problems, work-related issues, deaths, frustrated goal attainment, and financial worries – however, none have identified which life events midlife women experience as the most important, I believe this is because it is a highly personal and individualistic journey. The over-arching theme that has become evident through my work is one of searching for balance in the midst of multiple co-occurring stressors.
I strive to enable understanding of the meaning behind the experiences that midlife women identify as their most challenging and to explore their personal power to overcome them.
